The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Park and Olive streets, said Av Harris, the City of Bridgeport's director of legislative affairs/public policy.
The victim, whose identity has not been released pending notification to next of kin, was trapped underneath the vehicle, Harris said.
The driver of the vehicle has been questioned by police. There has been no word yet if charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
